Ecommerce Guided Tour
The process of getting your ecommerce website from the initial requirements stage to a full operational, profitable website is one that can be quick and simple. There are many things that need to be considered such as:
- Will the site be aimed at a luxury, budget or mid market.
- How will the products be added.
- How much will the products cost.
- How much will the shipping cost.
- What payment merchant should be used.
- Where will the site be hosted.
To keep things simple, below are the 5 main steps that a typical ecommerce project build will follow:
Step 1 - Design
Homepage Prototypes

The first step in setting up your new E-Commerce shop is considering the design. Whether you are launching a completely new business or would simply like a fresh, professional and appropriate redesign for your new shop, our experienced design team will prepare a prototype design for you, which can be modified and changed to suit your taste.
Having a bespoke design ensures that you make the best possible use of all available features and conveys that you are a professional and trustworthy business. It is important to remember that first impressions count for a lot, and what better way to get established in the e-commerce world than with a stunning and appropriate new shop design that is in keeping with your company image whilst ensuring customer usability?
Want to choose from one of our templates?

If you are going down the rental option, or you do not want a bespoke design, we have many pre-made templates that you can choose from to use for your shop.
We will simply drop in your logo, contact details, and away you go! You can always upgrade to a bespoke design once your online shop is really up and running.
Already have a design?
If you are not looking for a bespoke design, as you already have a web-site that can be used for your new E-commerce shop, then we can use that design as a template for your new online shop, ensuring that your new web-site is in keeping with your existing, established company website.
Step 2 - Shopping Cart Integration

Mageneto Integration
Once your design has been confirmed, the process of integrating the shopping cart functionality is the next step. This is also the biggest step as everything about your store needs to be installed and configured. If you chose the Magento solution, we will integrate your design into the existing shopping cart software so that you have a completely customised store front.

Bespoke Integration
If you have purchased a bespoke ecommerce website, the functionality needs to be constructed from the ground up. The includes developing the functionality for adding products, making purchases and managing sales in the admin area. As a result this step will take a lot longer than sites built with Magento.
Step 3 - Payment Methods
Choosing Your Merchant Service

There are a large number of payment methods that can be integrated into ecommerce websites for taking payments online. If you already have a merchant account with a company, in most cases we'll be able to continue using it. If you're unsure about online payment methods, we'll advise on the best solution for your company. Some of the payment services you can choose from include:
- Paypal (Standard, Express & Direct)
- HSBC Merchant Services
- RBS Worldpay
- Sagepay (formely Protx)

- Google Cheskout
We are also developing our own payment gateways, which will offer our clients another low-cost online payments solution.

Once you are up and running with your new E-commerce shop, we will offer you access to a private e-commerce shop of our own, where you can purchase bulk amounts of packaging materials such as boxes and bubble wrap at trade price.
