Mass Landscape Shipping Labels Extension (Free)

Posted on: 20th Sep 2011 By: Robert Kent 14 Comments

Here’s another little extension for those of you who need to be able to print shipping labelsfor your orders.

Now according to Magento 1.5+ I think that there is a shipping label feature added to the administration backend in the orders section – however what you can’t do is select multiple orders and print them all into one PDF before you have even shipped them.

This little extension allows you to tick the orders you wish to print the label for, select “Print Landscape Shipping Labels” from the actions menu and then hit submit. A PDF will be generated for you to download via your browser.

It will also add a button onto the order view page like so:

This has been tested on Magento version 1.4.1.1 and Magento 1.5.0.0 (and 1.6 – thanks Mooshi!) – hopefully it will work in other versions but the amount Magento seem to change each time I wouldn’t bet my life on it! (We will endeavor to update though as and when we find it no longer works)

It will be on Magento Connect very soon however you can download it here in the meantime.

Thanks for visiting the Magento Blog here at E-commerce Web Design – home of the Magento Fox!

working nicely on 1.3 except that it prints one address per a4 page, although thats probably just my pdf reader as the pages themselves are smaller than a4.

    Hi Tiles,

Yeah it’s meant to be per page but the page should be set up for label size really – it might be a printer issue though – or its because the PDF’s are set up per page – I’ll have a look at it.

    Cheers,
    Rob

    Hi Nathan,

Yes the page size is customisable but only through the code at the moment – we are planning on upgrading the script once we’ve scheduled it in. As for the font size that should be ok too – but it might require a bit of trail/error to get it to look right. What do you think of the content of the shipping labels at the moment?

Great extension. My only question is where can I edit the code to get this to print the address in the correct format and with the country?

    Hello.

Can you confirm this is one label per page. I need my addresses to be printed off all at once onto a4 sheets of Avery stickers:
    99.1mm x 38.1mm stickers (14 per a4 portrait sheet).

Is this possible? If not are there plans to be able to do it? I haven’t dived into the code yet.

    Thanks
    Tadhg

Really wanted such an extension. Thank you

However, we have just installed the extension for our site, and when we are printing the addresses, the address are getting cut from the right side. Is there any way to increase the label width from the right as the addressees are coming incomplete. Will really appreciate the help.

    Thank you

    Hi,
I installed your module but when I click to print the label a blank pdf file appears.
    Any ideas?
